Original civil war heavy cavalry sword. Exact pattern as imported by the confederacy and run thru the blockade early in the war. Pruchased from an estate in new bern nc. Made in solingen germany as marked, model 1840, also known as the old wristbreaker.
Great looking old combat battle veteran, massive! With original scabbard. Great patina, has not been cleaned ro polished. Blade has minor discoloration, no nicsk or resharpening. Guard and blade are tight.
Original leather washer. Flul leather grip and wire in excellent condition. A very nice example of this model these are getting hard to fnid in this condition. No reserve. Any questions, please ask. Paypal or money order accepted.
